Internationality

Context … The Story

"As Brothers living and working in different countries and in various cultures, we witness situations of poverty and oppression, of unequal distribution of the earth's resources and of selfish vested interest prevailing over global human needs.  We also see in the efforts of our own brothers new expressions of Edmund's charism in collaborative ministries across the Congregation.

Being committed to inculturation and being international in outlook we strive to hear humanity's deepest yearnings especially in the plight of the poor.

Our sharing and reflection at this Chapter have drawn us to a global way of looking at the earth, its people and its needs. As men committed to international brotherhood we bring a special sensitivity to the search for global unity in the one Creator God.

This commitment will be painful. It has serious implications for congregational resources. It will demand from us a letting go of our limited viewpoints and some of our cherished hopes as we prepare ourselves for a new response."

Direction … The Dream

We as a Congregation pledge ourselves to internationality
