Problem with God

The story, as the journey, begins
here at this point with me.

In secret ways, the voice of the
    One speaks variedly.

People, events, artists all,
    become the One revealing
        Spirit's way.

My place in this story,
    one of many seeking
        the way.

Deeds, what was done,
    what was never done,
        create my journey's route.

Will I find You alongside?

Will I be alone on the path?

Who will say the words of truth
that I may come to know myself.

Loving One, beating heart within me,

Flowing mysterious in silence
    and in volume

Joined together in bonds
    of presence and caring.

The story becomes my story.

The journey remains mine.

Faithful One, teacher of fidelity

So sure and firm in steadiness

Linked in threads of
    attachment

To all those in turn
    linked with me.

Never abandoning,
    never forgetting the writing

Of your name upon the flesh
        of one's heart.

What name has been chosen?

What captures this covenant

    between You and I?

What name do you call me?

What name reflects to you,

    who I am?

Loving Father, Compassionate Mother,

Struggling Child, Maturing Adult.

These are the parts of the story
    that need recall to memory.
