Most Holy Father,

I write on behalf of the Congregation of Christian Brothers to offer you our congratulations and prayerful good wishes on your election as Supreme Pontiff of our Church.

We pray that your ministry may be seen as a sign of unity in our Church which is faced with so many divisive issues. Our world needs compassionate leaders of vision who are able to listen to the cry of God's people today. Remind us, Holy Father, to continue to be people of hope for our society.

We wish you the strength of body, mind and heart as you begin your Pontificate and give you an assurance of our prayers.
