What I do
With my heart
Affects
The whole universe.

My heart
Is for love
As it finds
The pathway
Of its journey
Through life;
A winding journey
As I know it
And one
With many
An intersection –
A cross moment –
Poignantly
Reminding me
Of where
My true love
Lives
And
Dies
And calls
To cross-discipleship.

That cross
Is God’s mark
Of love on me
And on the world
So that,
Strangely,
I will remember
There is no love greater
And only in that love
Can cross and heart
And fire and air
Have meaning
That makes a difference.
Rich blue
Of ocean deepness
Opens
Crosswise
To earth-green
Of hope-filled richness
As sea and sky
Earth and ocean
Measure to each other
For bountiful unity.

Congregation

Truly writ in
Heart red
Affecting
Earth and ocean
Sea and sky;
Heart pulsating
With Christ love
From the cross
In
Resurrection.
